Sasha Banks & Bayley possibly leaving WWE

Post by mrira » April 13th, 2019, 3:35 pm

So supposedly people saw them crying on the floor of the Wrestlemania hotel. They lost the tag titles & Sasha unfollowed WWE on Twitter.

Wow. That's unexpected.

If they do leave I expect them to be :virgil: overnight

Unless their contract is expiring, I can't imagine them actually going anywhere, since Vince isn't likely going to be voluntarily releasing people who aren't totally on the bottom run of the ladder.

WWE has shown over and over they dump female wrestlers after X years, and X is not a lot.

But recently? The only women (or men, for that matter) they release these days before their contracts expire are ones that either aren't being used on TV at all, or are working opening matches. Nobody who's getting used regularly on TV anywhere near the top of even middle the card gets let go anymore. Heck, even people who openly ASK to be let go usually have to wait until their contracts run out these days. Vince can afford to basically hoard talent right now.

They'd instantly be two of the biggest stars in AEW and would come in with tremendous fanfare and support.

Sasha is solid and there's enough "fuck WWE" sentiment where fans will look at her (and Bayley) as victims of Vince's crappy booking and they'd be treated like massive stars.

Typical M.O. with WWE talent. I trust Dave (and even Satin) over them playing the typical b.s.

Well, the workers who openly complain about their desire to leave don't get let go, so if they're both towing the company line, it's pretty obvious that the WWE isn't releasing them, and they're not pushing the issue to leave at the moment.

Yep. They wanted it to be known that their unhappy in WWE and now they're pretending like it was never the case. It's just nonsense.
