Continuing the desire to be transparent, we are in discussions with multiple groups to sell Walker Stalker Con and/or its assets. Therefore, we believe it is prudent to pause sales of Atlanta and Dallas (but also New Jersey for asset reasons too) until a final outcome is reached. We do believe those events will move forward but while discussions and negotiations are ongoing, it is best to not advance anything further at this time.

The immediate question and answer is, yes, the priority is refunds, talent debts and subcontractor debts to be paid from any sale or transfer of the company and/or its assets. If there are any proceeds after all of the debts are addressed those will go back into investing into the growth of Fan Fest Events.

Fan Fest Events is not being sold. Fan Fest London, Chicago and Nashville (and the sub events) will all proceed as scheduled with no halt in sales or preparation. We are working and are active in negotiations to refresh the talent roster for Nashville and continue to build the list for London. We’ve been assured by many talent and managers that with the resolution of the debt, the guests will return.

Addressing some other concerns and rumors. We are actively working with the State of Tennessee to ensure that refunds are being addressed and have been for nearly two months. We are being transparent to show that there is a genuine effort and desire to resolve things. Our desire, which is why we’ve pushed to try to avoid winding up the company, is to get the debts of the company resolved.

In regards to London. The winding up of the 2019 licensee does not affect the ability to put on the February event. The 2020 event is being handled separately and is proceeding, as planned. We had discussions with the venue this morning and they are sending over the information and assets needed to get the event up on their website.

We aren’t sure exactly what a new ownership group will mean for the future of Walker Stalker Con, but we hope that it goes into hands that will love it, like we do, and return it to the event you loved so much too.

Any questions should be directed to info@fanfestevents.com

Thank you,

Walker Stalker Con

Fandemic Tour now has a new event in Atlanta in October of 2020, so that I'd assume is that for WSC/FF in the Peach State........

The CEO chimed into a discussion on this in a FB group, but he then deleted all his comments. My guess is that he figured he'd try to set things straight, but was met with the usual attack lines. This Fan Fest thing has got to the point where there are people who have nothing better to do than complain about it. The very post that went up here is devoid of any journalistic professionalism or sourcing, just another hit squad. If I were him, I wouldn't have even bothered commenting.

That said, I am not defending anything about the company whatsoever, but I hope I'm not alone in being sick and tired of people whining about this convention company all over social media. Clearly there are issues, my advice is simple, DO NOT PAY THEM, DO NOT GO, enough already! I've been attending cons for a long, long time. I don't buy VIP tickets, they are a waste of money unless it's a line skip EVERYWHERE. You are getting hosed no matter what con it is. Be smarter. I mean, give me a break, "they didn't get their free food!!!" WTF is that? Get a life. I go to meet celebrities and that's it. If Fan Fest has the ones I want, I will go.

Is this the final nail in the coffin for fanfest:

Unfortunately, Fan Fest London at the Excel is cancelled.

As it’s early here in the US, we wanted to get this statement up, confirming the cancellation, and we will post a more thorough statement later today once we know more.

Inquiries should be directed to info@fanfestevents.com

Walker Stalker/Heroes & Villains assets purchased by the Sopranos Con.
We're Back! Walker Stalker Returns!
3fams Productions
, the creators of the first-ever SopranosCon, MobMovieCon, and BoxingCon, is pleased to announce it has purchased the assets of Walker Stalker and Heroes & Villains, the Walking Dead and Comic Conventions. 3fams will make them available to the public virtually via its new VirtualCons app, with plans to host a live, in-person event in 2021.
VirtualCons, is a free downloadable app accessed via the web and mobile, designed to bring the “con” (convention) experience to fans across a variety of genres of entertainment 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year from anywhere in the world. The app’s beta version launched in mid-September with unique content for fans of The Sopranos. For more information, please visit www.VirtualCons.com and www.3fams.com.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to resurrect Walker Stalker and to regain the trust of the show’s millions of fans,” said Michael Mota, CEO, 3fams Productions. “We are looking forward to delivering a high-quality, virtual convention experience in partnership with fan-favorite Walking Dead, horror, and sci-fi stars, complemented by additional unique content via our app until it is safe to gather in-person again.”
Walker Stalker and Heroes & Villains will be managed by Crystal DeVito, Operations for 3fams, who has a decade of experience in the fan convention industry.
“Walker Stalker was an incredibly successful fan convention, which unfortunately fell on some hard times,” said DeVito. “In speaking with its co-founder, James Frazier, we understand what made Walker Stalker Con successful, and what led to its closing, and we believe our team can bring back the convention that so many fans once loved.”
Ticket holders from previous Walker Stalker events that were either canceled or postponed who have not been reimbursed for their tickets may visit www.walkerstalkercon.com to request a refund.
“As fans ourselves, we know how important it is to regain the trust of the amazing Walker Stalker community, and that is why it is Walker Stalkers LLC’s first priority to reimburse every fan who purchased tickets for canceled events, and vendors who were impacted as well,” continued DeVito. “To that end, the monies Walker Stalkers LLC takes in will be used immediately to refund those parties until all are reimbursed.”
Walker Stalker will be added to the VirtualCons lineup on October 31st. Fans will have access to unique opportunities for interaction with favorite celebrities, such as one-on-one meet and greets, personalized shout-outs, and university style classes; exclusive viewership of never-before-seen footage; chat rooms, forums and more. When COVID-19 restrictions are scaled back, the app will serve as a guest’s passport for in-person conventions while continuing to provide remote access for fans around the world.
“We are so grateful for the opportunity to take on this challenge, to carry on the original vision of the founders of Walker Stalker, and bring this event back from the dead, no pun intended,” concluded DeVito.
About 3fams Productions
3fams Productions began in January of 2019 when three 'Sopranos' super fans from different states connected on social media, met up, and decided to form a company together. What started out as a dream imagined by co-founder Joseph Fama and his wife, Gina, evolved into a global phenomenon when Fama and meme master Daniel Trader teamed up with entrepreneur Michael Mota to launch SopranosCon.
After a successful SopranosCon, the trio launched 3fams Productions, in partnership with Federico Castelluccio (Furio Giunta in The Sopranos), to reach even more fans with a variety of interests, including MobMovieCon, BoxingCon, Don’t Stop! The SopranosCon Story documentary, and the new VirtualCons app. For more information, please visit www.3fams.com.

I wouldn't put them in the top tier, no. IMO they think way too highly of themselves, and bite off more than they can chew. That being said, I cannot imagine anyone else having the balls to resurrect the Walker Stalker name, which has been fairly negatively associated with crooks for years. But don't take my word for it, read the Sopranos Con reports here.
