I could be mistaken, but I believe Kevin Clement and his crew are content with their show and as it got bigger and bigger, now they just want to bring in cheaper guests or repeat guests who they like or did them favors in the past, do their saturday night jam session, and have the regulars come and party in the parking lot, hotel rooms, and such.

In some regards, I give them credit, less is more and they know who they are and aren't concerned with competing with the big shows or MM which has become the premiere "small" NJ show for booking great talent.

Mikey, they don't "bring" people in, as I said, so it really shouldn't matter to them. They've turned down really good names. I'm not talking about Ben Affleck or Robert Englund here, but names who fit their nostalgia profile. Often there's no rhyme or reason for it, but if you know who isn't a fan of the actor, they don't allow them. I wish it were under new management.

I know, they allow the agents and managers in their network to suggest people, but Mr. Clement has final say. I've spoken to people who indicated they had great 80's actors who fit the model, but if he's not a fan, then no interest. I think at this point, they are perfectly happy with their niche event that they have organized for years and years and could care less if people are coming only if there are new and exciting guess. I appreciate it as a "niche" retro event, maybe that's why I continue to go as except for a few tweaks, it's pretty the AC/DC of conventions. It works for what it is and the guys who run it aren't new school business men nor have any interest in being hip to change, so no need to change it for them. If this show became like a Comic-Con, I wouldn't even go anymore. That's just me.

I remember it being $40, but I paid $100 for him to write "Strike This Motherfucker Out"
