Is this some kind of record of mass cancellations? Luckily no one I would have needed.
ADDED not canceled. :facepalm2:

George Wendt added...I'm assuming John Ratzenburger isn't far behind. Add Kirstie Allie to go with Dansen for a Cheers reunion and this could be the photo op of the year for me.

They are already selling a Cheers Duo photo op so I doubt they are adding anyone else at this point but as long as were dreaming I'd prefer Shelley Long over Kirstie Alley. Then again Kirstie has a big Star Trek credit.

Kirstie would get me there last minute for sure. Highly unlikely as all of those adds are complete virgils.

Nothing official yet but bracing for it. The floor map is up with celeb autograph booths. Notably missing are booths for Moreena Baccarin and Ben McKenzie.

And it’s official, Moreena Baccarin and Ben McKenzie cancelled.

The only reason i was thinking of going was for the Firefly group photo op. Now that Morena canceled I'm not going to bother going.
Wizard World Philly has been getting weaker and weaker lineups the past few years but this year is the weakest one I can remember. They don't even have one guest i would consider a real headliner. From about 2013 to 2016 they had super lineups but they have been really going down since then.
I've been taking time off from work in advance so i would know i'd have the time off to be able to go to Philly every year but I don't think I'll be planning in advance to go to this one next year the line up just seems to be getting weaker and weaker every year.

They've always managed to throw something big together for Philly. Last year they got some big GOT and LOTR stars in the last few weeks. So I was sure they would do better than the lousy shows they've been doing around the country. After all, they put together a Buffy reunion for Portland with Alyson Hannigan, Surely, they would do at least that good for one of their flagship cons. So I bought the early bird VIP to save a few bucks, booked a hotel and decided Amtrak form Pittsburgh would be reasonable-priced compared to tolls, gas and hotel parking.

So I'm stuck going to Philly and will make the best of the guests I can (but with my return train leaving at at 12:45, its seriously doubtful I'll be able to get both an autograph and photo from Ted Danson on Sunday since it doesn't look like he's doing table ops). I'm really disappointed with this line-up.

I suspected there might be trouble when they announced the Ghostbuster thing happening the week before. Wizard World has demonstrated the last couple years they can't walk and chew gum at the same time and won't give much attention to any other event until the one immediately in front of them is over.

Oh well, I'll enjoy a train ride and get a cheese steak.

Since the huge Marvel one in 2013 I think?? It been downhill as they never recouped that $$$ spent as well as expanding too much too soon

Ironically they claimed the guys who fleeced them with the marvel names now run ACE. And seem to be fine while booking big names.

Nope. And the guy who runs ACE...he's from NY. Clearly something happened that was highly negative and he opted to take his show to areas that both sell well and do not offer high potential headaches.

:crying:

If he doesn't like NYC, how about NJ, Philly, DC, hell even Pittsburgh!
