Re: The Recently Watched Movie Thread

I found CLOVERFIELD PARADOX to be ok, bordering on good. I just love the fact that I was able to watch it on my phone a day after finding out of its release. Cast is pretty solid, the score is great, however, there are some plot details that come out of nowhere that I still don't quite understand an...

Re: The Recently Watched Movie Thread

I didn't think Den of Thieves was that bad, although those scenes you reference were pretty unnecessary. I found the heist in the beginning to be highly effective as well as the chase scenes.

I hate this as well, because most of the time, the idiot will mock the people waiting. I try to ignore.

Re: The Recently Watched Movie Thread

The Commuter - I found it to be a perfectly serviceable movie, although largely unbelievable, of course. There are several set pieces that stand out but this will ultimately turn out to be a forgotten Liam Neeson film, but a fun-ish popcorn film.

Re: Killers, Bulls, Kongs and more - the Japan Report!

Nice stuff... loved Shinjuku and the seediness of everything there. The time i visited, there was a missile flown over Japan from North Korea, so tensions were high. I didn't see much in the way of wrestling..

Great season of Black Mirror although I found the 'Metalhead' episode to be the weakest one.

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi Discussion (Spoilers ahead)

Definitely a tad long, but as a non-fanatic of this series, I had a good time. I liked the comic relief, especially General Hux looking a little more comically evil than The Force Awakens (noticed darker eyes). I personally can have less of spaceships shooting at eachother and more hand to hand comb...
