Re: 2020 Pandemic Pieces

I decided to finally join in on the fun and scored this signed The Grappler mask - inscribed with "Beat Me If You Can!" from the great Captain's corner. I have another cool piece from them arriving sometime next week

Re: Wrestling Universe Queens & Long Island October - December Autograph Signings

Statement from WU:

We @TheWrestlingUni Did Not Authorize the statement made by Aries and the 3rd party vendor that brought him in. We practice a very safe environment at our stores. As soon as we found out about it we put a stop to it. Safety First ALWAYS @TheWrestlingUni

Re: Wrestling Universe Queens & Long Island October - December Autograph Signings

Why is this one getting the most attention? A quick Instagram search shows that a lot of the meet n greets don't require masks A couple of reasons: 1). Austin Aries is a notorious anti-masker (among other things), so people are criticizing the WU for bringing him in for a signing during the middle ...

Re: Wrestling Universe Queens & Long Island October - December Autograph Signings

Terribly disappointing to see on Facebook that Austin Aries is refusing to wear a mask and is actually encouraging customers not to wear them, either --- and this is being plugged on FB (not sure if it's from the WU Facebook account or the vendor's. I saw a screenshot from the F4W board).

Just awful

Re: How Andrew "Dice" Clay would intentionally ruin photo ops and get other comedians to sign his autographs

I'm not sure if I read it here or facebook but from what I heard he is pretty disgusting to fans. I can honestly say I've never seen anything he's been in. Wasn't he an 80s relic? The only time I ever thing about him is when I see the Night Court with Monty Potter "The Potty Man" who looks like a v...

Re: Introducing the dumbest piece of memorabilia I own

I just thought you should know that you are not alone in your weird collecting. I've had this bad boy hanging in one of my extra bedrooms since 2004, along with a screencap from the show. It's from Season 8 - The Inferno. I actually bought it from Theo Von before I knew him as a comic. Wow I can't ...

How Andrew "Dice" Clay would intentionally ruin photo ops and get other comedians to sign his autographs

I was listening to this clip https://youtu.be/qnwO9mpewTI?t=32 and stumbled on this little story of how Andrew " Dice" Clay would ruin photo ops w/fans pre-cell phone camera days. Below is a transcription in case you don't/can't listen: Bobby : Dice also has a thing where if people asked - cuz back ...

Re: A look at the hobby in the 90s

I missed this one from 1/15/1996 WON: Bischoff referred to WWF as "Titanic Sports," and pointed out that they are now charging fans to get their pictures taken with the WWF champion ( WWF started doing the Polaroid gimmick at house shows over the weekend charging fans $10 for a picture with them wit...

Pat Patterson dead at 79

WWE is saddened to learn that Pat Patterson has passed away at age 79. A true trailblazer of the industry, Patterson was linked to many “firsts” in sports-entertainment throughout his storied career, including the first-ever Intercontinental Title reign and the creation of the Royal Rumble Match. I...
